Opening of the new hotel building Zollenspieker Fährhaus

The opening of the four-star hotel marks the beginning of a new era for the Zollenspieker Fährhaus. The historical building and the hotel combine to a first-class address for business and private occasions.

Like hardly any other historical building in Northern Germany, the Zollenspieker Fährhaus represents a piece of Hanseatic history. Around 1870 the old customs warehouse was converted into a restaurant and has been a popular excursion destination ever since.

With the opening of the exclusive four-star hotel on 01.04.2012, modern hotel comfort and more than 750 years of history have been united at the southernmost point of Hamburg's Elbe river.

The new hotel building has 52 rooms, approx. 6,000 m² of floor space and a converted space of 22,000 m³. All 52 rooms have a view on the Elbe. On the ground floor there are also conference rooms with a view on the Elbe. The wellness area includes various saunas, a steam bath and a relaxation area.

The Sellhorn Group is the owner, planner and operator of the new Hotel Zollenspieker Fährhaus. In close cooperation with Admiralität 56 Grundstücks- und Verwaltungsgesellschaft, the building owner, Sellhorn Ingenieurgesellschaft took over the project management, coordinated the architectural and engineering services and supervised the construction. Following the successful completion of the project, the company is now managed by VVB Vierländer Betriebsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG.
